Mrs. Joyce Baker Mabry, 82, of Valrico went to be with the Lord on October 23, 2009. She was preceded in death by her son, Robson James Mabry, III, her parents, Mr & Mrs. J. Frank Baker, sister, Mayo White and brother Bobby Baker. She is survived by her beloved husband, Robson James Mabry, Jr; son, Frank (Kathy); daughters, Anna Joyce and Lea (Emmett) Cooper; six grandchildren, Baker (Ashley) and Tyler Mabry, Bradford, Joy Anna, Grace and Clayton Cooper. Joyce was born on August 25, 1927 in Birmingham, AL. She grew up on a beautiful dairy farm known as Red Acres. At the early age of seven, she knew she was called to be a teacher and was blessed to have taught for 35 years. On January 27, 1947, Joyce married the Love of her Life, Jim. They moved to Tampa in 1963, where she taught at Dale Mabry Elementary until she retired. She was very active in the community, enjoying Christian Women’s Club, Bible Study Fellowship and Delta Kappa Gamma.
