Jorge A. Ramos Ortiz passed away peacefully with family at his hospital bedside on May 22, 2018, in Brandon, Florida. He was born in the town of Teotepeque, El Salvador, on January 18, 1931, son of Julio Ortiz Carcamo y Amelia Alvarenga, and later married to Clara Luz Aguilera in Zarcero, Costa Rica, on August 8, 1958. They moved to San Salvador, El Salvador to start a family and now is survived by sons Jorge, Armando, Ricardo and daughter Clara Bessie, as well as grandchildren: Bessie, Jorge, Andres, Iliana and Aedan. Since early in life, Dad, worked various jobs while studying by night to become an accountant and worked his way up to CFO of an important firm in exports of coffee beans to other countries. In 1981, he continued his career path in Jackson Mississippi, and finally retiring in beautiful Florida, where he sadly had to see his wife of 50 years leave to heaven.

We’re extremely sad to say good bye to our beloved father, who was a devoted catholic and promoter of faith and prayers for the world we live in. We’ll always remember his teachings to be better Christians, better persons, and with respect to others, no matter whom they are, as also noted on his book Piquetes Biblicos, (Biblical Passages) which he wrote while living in Florida.

At this time as he is in journey to meet our creator, we are saddened for his departure, but with faith that one day we will all meet again.

A funeral service will be held at the Nativity Catholic Church on Friday May 25, 2018, at 11:00 a.m., located at 705 E Brandon Blvd, Brandon, FL 33511
