Gloria B. Johnson, 70, of St. Petersburg, FL, passed peacefully on Monday, September 21, 2020 at Gulfside Regional Hospice. Gloria was born on July 23, 1950. She attended Gibbs High School.
She had many hobbies: sewing, gardening, fishing, singing and cooking. She was a “Jack of all Trades" and she mastered them all. She enjoyed taking care of others. She always put others before herself. In her last days, she dedicated her life to God. She was a member of Greater St. Paul Missionary Baptist Church of St. Petersburg. She was part founder of “The Voices of Heaven” gospel singing group. She was also the founder of Brownstone Band in which she was an “Entertainer”.
Gloria loved spending time by the water. She loved dogs. She was truly a vibrant person, and everyone loved being around her. She was the Life of the Party. She was a shining Diamond that sparkled in every way. She will be truly missed!
She was preceded in death by her deceased parents, Ruth Cooper and Eugene Bradley, three sisters Jean Williams and husband: JoFrancis Hawkins and husband and Mahalia Cooper. She is survived by three daughters and one son, Rutina Jackson, Vernetha Newton (husband Korian), Laura Allen (husband Eric), and Otto Wilson. She had 13 grandchildren and 21 great grandchildren.
A Celebration of Life will be held in the future, with notification made by family.
