July 28, 2021

In Loving Memory of Kathleen Ann (Gauder) Drumm “An excellent wife who can find? She is far more precious than jewels…her children rise up and call her blessed; her husband also, and he praises her..a woman who fears the LORD is to be praised.” (From Proverbs 31

God granted eternal rest to Kathleen Ann (Gauder) Drumm the afternoon of July 28th, 2021. She was 68.

Kathleen was born in Akron, Ohio, October 15, 1952, to Frank and Pauline Gauder, and was the oldest of five children.

Kathleen was predeceased by her parents and a brother, Raymond. Survivors include husband, Ronald Lee Drumm; daughter, Megan, and husband, Bryan Britz; daughter Monica, and husband, Steven Vazquez; son Ryan Drumm; and son, Adam and wife, Meaghan Drumm. Eight grandchildren Dyllan, Madisen, and Kaiden Britz; Payton and Talon Vazquez; and Ashlyn, Mason and Aubree Drumm. A brother, Frank (Kay) Gauder of Munroe Falls, OH and two sisters, Darleen (Lynn) Neiheisel of Canfield, OH, and Eileen (Bob) Simcox of Apopka, FL; and uncles, aunts, and many nieces, nephews, and cousins whom she dearly loved.

Kathleen became a child of God when she was sixteen years old and lived her life for her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. She was blessed to meet Ron and guide him to the Lord Jesus and to see her family all living for the Son of God.

She married Ron on June 19th, 1971, and they marked 50 beautiful years of marriage with all their family around them.

Kathleen graduated from the University of Akron with a bachelor’s degree in Biology and Medical Technology and used her degree to work in the Akron Children’s Hospital as a medical technologist for a year. She then spent the next twelve years working as a housewife, mother, and home manager in the midst of moving to Naples, Bartow and then finally Tampa, FL. She began working at Florida College Academy in the fall of 1988 and worked 22 years as a fifth grade teacher and a middle school science teacher.

Her love and service reached far and wide through the years after retirement as she continued to serve her family, church family, and friends. Through the years, she touched so many lives with her constant gifts of service. She worked tirelessly as a seamstress, cook, caregiver, confidant, friend, prayer warrior, encourager, protector, mentor, preacher’s wife, elder’s wife, mother, nana, and child of God.  She enjoyed spending time with family, reading (avidly), daily journaling, and Bible study. She was loved and cherished by all who knew her.  Kathleen’s servant heart for Christ will be loved and missed dearly.
