Rosetta G. Jimerson, 87, of Tampa, Florida, passed away on 06 October 2020. She was born to parents John Lofton and Willie Mae Gillyard, on 11 January 1933 in Waldo, Florida. Rosetta worked as a Housekeeper for 20 years. After 20 years of service, she retired from Tampa General Hospital in 2010. Rosetta enjoyed her job at Tampa General Hospital and did not retire from it until she was 77 years old. She loved Jesus Christ, going to church, and she was a devout Christian. Rosetta loved her family and friends, and she was always willing to help anyone in need. She loved to dress up and go out to a restaurant or to church, her clothes and costume jewelry always matching. She also loved to shop by mail, and she had many collectables. She was loved dearly by her family, she had a beautiful spirit, and she will be deeply missed. Rosetta raised 2 children: Laura A. Gil and Sandra M. Hernandez. Rosetta is survived by Laura Gil, daughter, Sandra Hernandez, daughter, Miguel Gil, son-in-law, Jocelyn Gil, granddaughter, Karla Gil, granddaughter, Amelia Gil, granddaughter, Laura-Sofia Gil, granddaughter, Eric Guthrie, grandson, Elizabeth Guthrie, granddaughter, and many extended family members from her son-in-law Miguel Gil. She was preceded in death by Catherine MacDill, sister, Fern Smith, sister.
The family has entrusted MacDonald Funeral Home with the arrangements. A Funeral Service is scheduled for October 15, 2020, 12 PM The family will receive friends one hour prior to service at MacDonald Funeral Home, 10520 N. Florida Ave. Tampa, Florida 33612. Interment will follow at Myrtle Hill Cemetery.. Pastor Randy Gant will officiate the ceremonies..
